Showed up to dealership and there were no cars available despite having a confirmed reservation through Kayak and visible on their website. Ended up having to drive a cargo van to get where we were going. This was lucky compared to some other folks who had no options available to their destinations.

My plane landed at 3:30. I scheduled my car pick up at 4:00. Dollar closes at 4:00. This was an 'off airport' facility given to me by Kayak. So they were closed by the time I arrived to get my car. I had to get a Taxi the next day to pick up my car! So one day lost! My departure time from Vegas was 7:30 am. the Dollar location did not open till 8 and they had no before or after hours drop off process. Extremely frustrating!! This was not a Dollar problem. It was a KAYAK issue and am very very disappointed in KAYAK!!!!!!!! KAYAKA cost me extra money and time on my vacation! Not the experience I want to have when I spend so much time preparing ahead of time for smooth transitions.

Two hour wait to pick up the car at McCarran airport in Las Vegas. Totally ridiculous and unacceptable. I asked to not have any additional insurance coverage. They added almost $200 of insurance I did not ask for and then would not refund it. I am requesting visa to deny the charges. I will never use Dollar car rental again.

The pickup line wasn't long but was moving awfully slow and there should have been a separate line for premade registrations. When I finally got to the counter, it took no more than 7-10 minutes. Where as each party before me was at least 15-25 mins. The drive and drop off was great. I just think overall the cost of the rental was too much for the type of car and amount of time I had it.

Kayak is the problem - through Priceline. I asked for a car for 2 pm pick up on Sunday in Las Vegas. Kayak through Priceline booked the car for the rental site at Treasure Island resort. That rental car site closes at 1 pm on Sundays. No-one was there!!!! I want my refund.

Fox needs to stop holding themselves out as being located at the airport when they are actually miles away. Also, it should not take an hour-plus to pick up a vehicle I already have a reservation for. The manager was very courteous and helpful at least.

We took pictures of the car before we drove it away. There was a very small dent and some scratches that we didn't want to be responsible for. Everything was fine when we returned the car. The process of returning was very easy and the shuttle drove us to the airport rental center. The process of aquiring the car took longer ( nothing out of the ordinary), however, they do want you to purchase extra insurance, which we didn't do. All and all a very good experience. I would use them again and recommend them to others.

Easy checkin and checkout processThe Toyota Sienna we rented out was perfect for our needs. The maintenance light did show up, and we needed to get it checked out at Firestone as instructed by the help line. That process was easy enough, and we were compensated a day off our rental for our trouble. When we turned in the car 3 days earlier, and the checkout process was easy enough, with the discounted days totaling 4 days off reflected on the bill. Definitely would rent from Alamo again, for their reliability and ease of processing.

We were supposed to get a Suburban and the Thursday prior to arrival were confirmed a Suburban. However upon arrival was told there were no Suburbans and we were given a VW SUV that was not big enough to even hold two suitcases with all 7 of us in the vehicle. Very disappointed with Enterprise!

This was the most disappointing experience as a frequent traveler. I booked my reservation 3 months in advance due to my past experiences when traveling. I wanted verify my reservations were going to be honored, so I called 3 times and spoke to Enterprise branch representatives every time. At no time did they inform me that their location closed at noon on the day I was supposed to pick up the vehicle. I wasn't made aware of this until after I had landed with my family. It was at that point I received a voice mail. So I contacted Enterprise corporate and they were completely useless. They could not find another vehicle and they did not offer to help me reserve a car with a competitor or set up transportation to the condo I had rented. So in other words they abandoned my family and I in a city 2000 miles away from home and 120 miles from the condo we rented. This was an absolute nightmare. I will never use them again. There are other car rental options that I will pursue.

Kayak was not transparent about the being a few for 24 year old drivers (which was the purpose for going through kayak) this led to hundreds of dollars in fees after prepaying which could not be removed by swapping for an older driver. Additional fees and taxes were applied at the end of the rental which were not disclosed. Rightful charges are one thing but nickel and diming customers are another. The car was in good condition and clean, the staff was nice however did not bat an eye over the above comments.

The pickup/drop off personal service was terrific. The Sixt rep, Pearl, on pickup couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. Significant downside was the VW/Atlas, itself, that we rented had less than 5,000 miles on it, yet had a distressing, disagreeable, and very noticeable cigarette smoke smell which we had to live with (and pay for over a 4 day rental) Particularly disappointed when we were told by Sixt rep on drop-off that "oh yeah, that's already been noted on car prior condition record" . . ., and yet we weren't informed on pickup when agreeing to this vehicle. So two concerns: lack of transparency on pickup, and clearly inadequate cleaning protocols.

Car was not clean. I found someone's used panties under the passenger seat. Someone left partially drank water bottles in the back. Car required washer fluid to be added. Car was leaking oil. Car would randomly stop running when the gas pedal was pressed. Horrible gas mileage.

Camaro brand is a little over-rated - not Avis’s fault, although they could price it more reasonably. Drop-off was fine, but poor guy was slammed - not his fault.

We had the last rental appointment of the day and were running a bit late. The office was closed and it’s doors were locked when my wife and I arrived, but the staff were good enough to open up for us despite our lack of punctuality. During the course of filling our reservation the staff learned that I am a former naval tactical aviator and gave us a free upgrade. I can’t say enough about the friendliness and exceptionalism of the Avis staff. They showed us that Avis is ‘a cut above’ and led me to conclude that I would be remiss if I failed to continue to utilize them moving forward. In short, it was a wonderful beginning to our vacation and I am grateful to Avis for exceeding our expectations.

My reservation WAS NOT HONORED! Horrible experience with the AVIS attendant! As I entered the office after having had to ask for directions from the Bellagio Hotel, the attendant greeted me with a very terse "I hope you just have a question, that is all I can do for you" well, I said, I have a car reservation. And she snapped back: "You are 2 minutes late" and I can't help you!" She said she had another job to get to. I said...this is a very hard place to find in this huge hotel! I just paid $36 dollars for Lyft, please help me! I Have important business to get to in Los Angeles! But no matter what I said, she was the worst experience I have ever received! I said, I am a Senior Citizen, you shouldn't treat your customers this way! She just didn't care...horribly treated, shame on her! Had to pay for another Lyft back. I was so upset! I had to sit at a waiting area to lower my blood pressure! AVIS should take corrective actions on this terrible representative!

The only thing I liked was the price before all the taxes. The selection of vehicles is terrible, there are only certain makes and model you can choose from. All employees need to know how to swap payments if the customer don't want to keep credit card as payment for the rental. That was a 45 minute process due to the employee didn't know how to swap payments I had to wait for a manager to return from dinner before I could leave. I would not recommend anyone to this company just to save a few dollars.

The rental I booked through Avis (across the street from where I was) told me after booking that it was actually a different location 20 minutes away so I had to take an Uber to the store. The car was supposed to be ready at 3 pm and when I got there, the store had makeshift numbers on the window showing that they had handwritten 3 pm as the closing time. I called Avis who would not help or take any responsibility for the misinformation and still being able to book. Then I called Kayak and they were closed. The next day I couldn’t get through. I ended up having to take an Uber back to where I started. I was out a $30 hold, plus two $30 Uber rides. I had to sit outside in 110° Las Vegas temps with my things on a sidewalk while I had to try to fix a miscommunication between two companies that had nothing to do with me. So I’m out hours of my time, about $100 and still didn’t have a rental, so I had to taxi the next two days. I’m extremely disappointed in the service for such a big city with lots of travel and I will never use Avis or Kayak again.

When we picked up the car the clerk kept trying to get us to upgrade. We rented the car so we wouldn’t have to pay so much in Uber fees. He kept saying that the car was small and didn’t have good gas mileage and wouldn’t be something to drive long distances in. I had to say several times that we only wanted it to drive around the strip and our hotel and we didn’t need something bigger. He also told me that the extra insurance I had purchased was not good and I should also purchase theirs. It was quite frustrating. The car was small but perfect for what we needed.

It took about 40 minutes to be finally served; then again, there were about 20 people in front of me waiting for their paperwork to be done to pick up their rental car. As for the agent (Ramy), he was absolutely great: has a genuine smile, very professional but friendly at the same time, offered me all the requisite car renting sales pitch but never pushy, and made sure that I understood everything...including emphasizing that I return the car to the correct rental car (I ended up getting a car from Hertz). What could have been better? I don't know. There were already 6 agents at the corner helping people as fast as possible. I suppose 40 minutes wait time was actually reasonable. As for the car's interior, the previous renter(s) wasn't very clean and careful about spilling stuff. The (cloth) front seats had dried up goo on them which they could have cleaned up before returning the car.

I experienced a flat tire crossing the central Nevada desert and backtracked 35 miles to regain cell coverage. I called the 800 number on the rental agreement for emergency road assistance but there was NO option for assistance. When I did get to speak to someone they transferred me where I sat on hold for over 35 minutes with no answer. I ended up completing my trip without a spare tire. Thankfully I had no further issues. Upon termination I was billed for the full amount of the rental even though I prepaid 75% up front through Kayak/Priceline. When I picked up the car I explained I had prepaid and was told it would be taken into consideration upon termination once final charges were determined. To date, it hasn't been. I'll take it up with Thrifty.

When we went to pick up the Thrifty counter was closed so we had to wait at the Dollar rental counter for over an hour. When we went to drop off in the parking ramp the Thrifty drop off was closed again but there was not a sign telling us that until we got to the end of the parking ramp. We had to exit and go back in the ramp dropping it off in the Hertz area. Staff was nice but the whole process was very disorganized.

Our plane was delayed due to the FAA suspending flight traffic due to high temperatures. When we arrived for our prepaid rental car, thrifty was closed with a sign saying go to dollar. It took nearly an hour to get a car that was already paid for. When I returned a week later, we drove through the rental car garage following directionals to thrifty only to find that it was completely blocked off and that the car was to be returned through Hertz. We had to go out of the parking garage and back around again. This entire experience with thrifty has been a fiasco. I definitely won't use them again.

The agents were friendly and helpful and the pickup and dropoff were easy. However, I (incorrectly, as it turns out) assumed that one's spouse counts as an authorized driver without paying an additional driver fee (as every other agency I've ever rented from does!), and this cost us an additional $84.00, which was quite disappointing. I never noticed any notification to this effect when reserving the vehicle, or I simply would have put it in my spouse's name, as they are the primary driver. I also didn't know (my fault, or hidden in the fine print???) that there was not unlimited mileage. It appears the free mileage is calculated at an average of 150 miles per day over the length of the lease. We didn't go over this amount, but I'm sure it was close. (I did not know about the mileage deal until we returned the vehicle.)

The interior of the vehicle, mainly the seats, was very dirty and stained. The drivers seat had no lumbar support! Very difficult driving. I had to use a towel from my hotel to support my lower back.

There were so many secret charges and fees it wasn't worth using your site to book them. The price was different and there was a $250 surprise hold over the car rental itself. Not to mention when I tried to opt out of their car insurance (because my private car insurance covers all rentals) they looked at me like I had seven heads. I tried to explain but I just wanted to go home. The car had stains, they tried to upsell me on a car that they ended up giving to me anyways. It was kind of a mess. the staff that shuttled me over was nice though.

While I was on my flight I received a text message from the location that it closed at 10pm. I was scheduled to land in LAS at 930pm so it would be tight. They asked if they could reschedule my pickup for the following morning because they were going to close. I guess this is partially my fault for not checking their hours at time of booking but I didn’t think I would need to for a car pick up on Friday night in Vegas. I had to cancel and go to Budget, who was open late.

Had booked car for date at 7pm. Since we picked up car at 829pm, the paper showed that information. We asked the man at counter about when we need to return. He said it's 24 hours so that it will be 829pm. When we pick up the car and asked the lady at the pickup counter she said that it was what was printed and that it was 7pm return. We mentioned how the man had explained about 24 hours but she again said that what was written was that 7pm pick up time that was the one they look for and that ii need to go back and change that information. So we did went back and that man then said he will take care of us and the lady later. He reprint the form with the new pickup time as 829pm. So if we did not go back for the change and had return Ed the car after 8pm, will we be charged extra?.

Nothing.I rented from E-Z online and they said to go over to the sister company Advantage booth. Then the attendant tells me if I don’t get the $25 per day insurance that I would be responsible for the damages to the vehicle including any time that the vehicle was out getting repaired and not rented.

Car was overall clean.The counter was not manned in LAS when I went to pick up the car. A sign was posted stating to go to Advantage which made us wait almost an hour because there were only two workers at the counter. Compared to other rental companies, only Advantage/EZ Car had a long line/wait.

Liked the car. Disliked the fact that the car only had 3/4 of a tank of fuel when picked up and I had to return it with a full tank($4.29 gal). Disliked that no one was there when we dropped the car off. Disliked that a light was on in the car saying to check the oil.

The line of people to pick up the rental car from the location near the airport took almost 2 hours. They had 2 to 3 employees working and were technically staffed a little better than some of the other rental places, but they had 20x the volume of customers. The few extra dollars we had saved in booking Payless from this location did not come close to covering the inconvenience. The employees tried hard, but the management simply didn’t staff to any reasonable level. It was a painful experience because I had been just one click away from completing a reservation at the counter right next to Payless when originally booking. I had to watch for an hour and forty five minutes how customers were able to just walk right up to them and get their rental while we were stuck in a long line barely moving.

I understand that there is a shortage of rental cars, but I had to wait about 30 mins for a car to become available, and it was filthy when I did get it. I ended up spending about 20 mins on the first day of my vacation cleaning the car so I wouldn’t be so disgusted driving it.

Be sure to read the fine print of the location of Budget which is at a Toyota dealership. (use Uber to get there) Only 20-25 ride. Had to wait in line at small office at the site. (normal concerning the long lines at the rental car transportation station in Las Vegas). Overall, I got decent price for the rental car.

Hertz called at 5:16pm the night before the SUV pick up to say they had no car for us to pick up the very next morning at 8am. They instructed us to call the Hertz customer service for options but the only option given was a refund. I asked for many other solutions to help me obtain a vehicle but he was unable to anything but a refund. As refund does not help me in 15 hours when we arrive in the location to pick up a vehicle. We still needed a vehicle for the hockey tournament within 15 hours. They gave us no solutions but said my only option was a refund. I had prepaid for the entire rental for the weekend about $350. We ultimately had to rent another auto for $1,100. Hertz has terrible customer service and failed us as we had no choice but to rent another SUV at the last minute pricepoint. Here is what could have been better - moved an SUV to the pick up location for us, reserved an SUV at another location, preplanned our rental so a SUV was available in the first place, offer another larger vehicle, offer any vehicle, given me the difference monetary between what I did pay and was required to pay to rent a SUV last minute. I am disappointed with Hertz.

We rented a car in Las Vegas. When we arrived, we had to wait for over an hour and a half for an employee to assist us. She, at that time, told us that they did not have any cars available on site. We had to take a taxi, at a cost of over $80 back to the airport rental location, where Hertz told us we could rent a car there, for $1000. we passed on that, telling them that is ridiculous, and went to another rental agency I WILL NEVER. EVER RENT FROM HERTZ AGAIN

The staff at the counter was good, vehicle was clean, however, 30 miles into our trip the service engine light came in to add oil. We had to turn around to go back to nearest gas station and put 2qts of oil in it! We were disappointed that this wasn’t taken care of prior to us renting the vehicle. Otherwise, we had no issues and after adding the oil our trip was smooth.

We loved the style of car! Picked a Mazda 3 and it was very comfortable and modern. There was plenty of space inside and the amenities of Bluetooth radio and driver lane assist was a nice safety feature. The return was quite simple also. Having my wife’s Gold status was great because it allowed either of us to drive if necessary and gave us a 2% discount. The pickup process was very disappointing though. Took over 2 hrs to get the car because I was not told until I reached the counter about the $200 incidentals hold on my cc and did not have enough available credit. My wife had to come over by bus from the hotel and use her cc. Apparently because I booked thru 3rd party, I was not told about the hold, but it shouldn’t matter who I book thru. If I was able to set up the rental by 3rd party, I should have been notified of the cc hold ahead of time and avoided a 2-hr delay.

The ACE rental car is not located in the normal rental center that is one bus ride from the terminal. You have to take the bus to The rental car center and then ACE picks you up in their van for a 5 min ride to ACE. It just requires more planning but they didn’t have any lines and were really nice.

Ace location in Vegas was further from the airport than I had hoped. But Clinton in Las Vegas was polite and helpful. He will be running one of these locations someday. Very polite people all around. Clean car and near new. I’m happy.

I was disappointed when I realized that I had signed for insurance that I really did not want. It cost an extra $100 and I always decline all of the insurance, but it was very busy and crazy at check in and I overlooked what the agent was trying to sell me. Also it would be nice if the hours were a little bit later. We had a 11pm flight, but had to have the car back by 8 so we spent a lot of time in the airport. The car was very clean and nice for the money. The off-airport site took an extra 30 which we were not prepared to spend.

There were two shuttles that finally took us to the pickup location. Facility was ok, Car was not clean inside I was charged for full tank of gas when I left the car three fourth tank full. Hours of operation is limited, this had to leave the car the night before my early am flight- knowing that I would never make it to the plane if I needed to ride two shuttles. Will not do business with this Rental car agency again.
