Henry Danger season 6 release date, cast, synopsis, trailer and more

Nickelodeon’s superhero centric series Henry Dangerhas been a chart-topping sensation on Netflix, and after subscribers enjoy binge-watching the three seasons available, many are understandably wondering if there will be a Henry Danger season 6 in their future. There is no question that fans of the comedy-drama show would love to see more episodes make their way to the streaming service at some point in the future.

Henry Danger season 6 would have seen the continuation of the story that started all the way back in 2014 following the 13-year-old boy Henry Hart is tasked with becoming captain Man’s sidekick. The fifth chapter of the top-rated franchise ended at the beginning of January 2020.

The show consisting of 121 episodes making it one of the longest-running live-action sitcoms in Nickelodeon history, brilliantly chronicled the adventures of Henry Hart alongside Captain Man fighting for justice while trying to balance his life as a high school student. What’s worse is he has to keep his superhero alter ego Kid Danger a secret.

Unfortunately for those hoping for another chapter of the beloved Nickelodeon series, the news is not at all good. Henry Danger season 6 will not be happening as the series was canceled, and the final episode of season 5 served as the series finale. Two spinoffs have spawned from the original in the form of an animate endeavor called The Adventures of Kid Danger and a live-action spinoff called Danger Force. Plus, fans can relive all the great moments from the three of the show’s seasons on Netflix.

Henry Danger season 6 release date

If things change and the powers that be decide to add more entries in the series or Netflix decides to pick it back up and bring Henry Danger season 6 to the streaming service, then there is no telling when the release date would be, and any news regarding when that very well could be would not arrive any time soon.

Henry Danger season 6 cast

There has been no announcement about who would return and who would not regarding the cast of Henry Danger season 6. It’s safe to assume that most of the major players would return, like Jace Norman as Henry, Cooper Barnes as Captain Man, and Riele Downs as Henry’s friend Charlotte.

Other cast members like Sean Ryan Fox, Ella Anderson, and Michael D. Cohen would hopefully return as well for Henry Danger season 6 if it is ever to occur. There will probably be a slew of new faces as well, adding to the many reasons fans would not want to miss.

Henry Danger season 6 synopsis

No official synopsis has come out of Henry Danger season 6, and it seems likely that no plot details will come to light until an announcement saying the show is back on happens. It would be interesting to see what would happen if the series were to continue, and it’s really anyone’s guess what could go down if the franchise were to keep going.

Henry Danger season 6 trailer

There is no trailer for Henry Danger season 6, and until a new season is announced, fans should not expect any kind of promo or teaser. If one does arrive, Netflix Life will be sure to share it wh everyone right away!

Stay tuned for more on news, updates, and info on Henry Danger season 6 and everything else the streaming powerhouse has to offer its many loyal subscribers.

Plot

If Henry Hart's buddies knew what he did after school, he would be the most popular kid in class. Henry lands a part-time job as Kid Danger, a sidekick-in-training to super-crimefighter Captain Man. The perks are awesome: $9 an hour, high-tech gadgets to use and - best of all - Henry gets to save the world! Yet he must keep the gig secret from his best friends, Charlotte and Jasper, and little sister, Piper, even as adventures with Captain Man throw Henry's life absurdly out of whack.

Bad Qualities

  1. Similar to seasons 6-8 of SpongeBob SquarePants and Modern Family Guy episodes, most of the episodes are either bland, annoying, idiotic, nonsensical or have horrendous plots that are nothing but pure filler, such as:
    • Substitute Teacher
    • Christmas Danger
    • Rubber Duck
    • Massage Chair
    • Up The Stairs!
    • Car Trek
    • Budget Cuts
    • Jasper's Real Girlfriend,
    • Danger Things (a cheap and insulting cash in on Stranger Things),
    • Captain Mom
    • Mouth Candy (The worst offender)
      • The aforementioned episode "Captain Mom" is a ripoff of the Mighty Med episode Oliver Hatches the Eggs. It was also a very controversial episode as the plot was about Captain Man getting pregnant.
      • Most of the endings to the episodes are either unsatisfying, anti-climatic, or mean-spirited, with "Mouth Candy” being the biggest offender.
  2. Lousy acting, especially from Ella Anderson, who shouts 3/4 of her lines when portraying Piper.
  3. Most of the characters are rip-offs of characters from previous Dan Schneider shows (mostly the ones from Drake & Josh and iCarly) and are very unlikable and annoying in their own ways.
    • Henry Hart/Kid Danger is a very bland and cliched protagonist. He is also a poor man's rip-off of Drake Parker from Drake & Josh.
    • Charlotte Page is a typical Mary Sue who is the punching bag. She is also arrogant and sassy towards Henry, Ray, Jasper, and Schwoz at times and is a stereotypical (albeit, unlikable) tomboy character, similar to Sam Puckett from iCarly.
    • Jasper Dunlop is an unlikeable idiot who is overly talkative, annoying, and pathetic at times and is also the punching bag, similar to Josh Nichols from Drake & Josh and Gibby Gibson from iCarly.
    • Ray Manchester/Captain Man is the character who hits on married moms and he is too selfish, unlikeable, and immature to be considered a legitimate superhero. Also, he barely protects Swellview in some episodes, such as "Man of the House". To make matters worse, he has become even dumber than before since Season 3. His comic relief is also a blatant, unfunny rip-off of Crazy Steve's from Drake & Josh and Spencer Shay's from iCarly.
    • Henry's family is very disrespectful to him. Henry's dad, in fact, is just an idiot.
    • Piper is arguably the worst character on the show as she is an extremely unlikeable brat who yells way too much and barely gets punished for her actions, not to mention she’s also a huge Mary-Sue as well, similar to Megan Parker from Drake & Josh.
    • Frankie Grande is presented as a homosexual stereotype.
    • Has your typical average forgotten character. Gooch disappears in late season 1, and does not appear in the remainder of season 1, or the entire seasons 2,3,4 and 5. He wasn't even mentioned, nor his contributions or existence acknowledged.
  4. Henry/Kid Danger and Ray/Captain Main often act like villains (or better yet, anti-heroes) when they're supposed to be superheroes. An example is in "Brawl in the Hall", where they rob a bank and frame a bully for it that Charlotte is supposed to fight against. Another two examples are in "Trouble With Frittles" and "Henry's Frittle Problem", where Captain Man and Kid Danger blow up two Frittle chip factories in two different ways, causing Jack Frittleman to get revenge on them in "Escape Room".
  5. The soundtrack is generic and awful.
  6. No character development at all. In fact, it's more of character derailment, as they get worse and worse each episode rather than better (except for Piper).
  7. Graphically unfunny, mean-spirited, groan-worthy, trashy, and forced humor that can get too grating, disturbing and/or inappropriate for children.
  8. There is a scene where Captain Man sits on Henry's head. Even if it made sense in the context, it is extremely inappropriate IN A KIDS SHOW, to have. grown man sitting on a child's head. It's genuinely uncomfortable to see.
  9. Cheap and poorly done special effects for the 2010s and 2020s standards.
  10. Like most modern Nickcoms, it overuses the Laugh Track, including the scene where the teacher just says Henry's name.
  11. Swellview is a very stupid name for a town and has ridiculous laws, even for a kids' comedy. For example, the Harts actively allow and even encourage their 12-year-old daughter to drive and somehow the state sends and allows Piper to keep her license.
  12. "Captain Man" is an extremely generic name for a superhero. To make matters worse, his original name was supposed to be “Galaxy Glen”.
  13. The newscasters are used as fillers starting in Season 3, which will get on your nerves real fast.
  14. Ridiculous villains, such as The Spoiler, Mitch Blisky, Jeff Blisky, and the Ballerino Brothers.
    • Speaking of Mitch, he can arguably be the most mean-spirited villain who got Jasper framed and arrested when Jasper did absolutely nothing wrong with him.
  15. The writing is very poor and almost sounds like it was written by a 9-year-old.
    • For example, in “Saturday Night Lies", Ray's ex-girlfriend, Lacey, and her husband Roger get turned into a gross, horrible, and disturbing blob after trying Schwoz's teleportation machine and in the end, Captain Man and Kid Danger leave them outside a synagogue.
    • In "I Dream Of Danger", Charlotte has a dream where she almost kisses Kid Danger and tries to prevent it from happening, which almost causes her to get eaten by a "fear-smelling" lion.
    • In "A Fiñata Full of Death Bugs", there is a Fiñata (fish piñata), filled with bees that eat people's brains! And in the end, they escape and do the damage to two victims. No, really. Death bugs, that eat brains, in a show for kids that is rated TV-G.
    • In "Live & Dangerous Part 2", there is a very disgusting scene where Piper pops Jasper's enormous grotesque neck zit onto Frankie Grande's face. We kid you not. Even though it wasn’t a real pimple, but a fake one made with a giant strawberry or cherry soft gummy filled with vanilla pudding or melted whipped cream glued to Jasper’s neck.
    • In "Flabber Gassed", Jasper does two dances from Fortnite, which is just Nickelodeon trying to make this show modern and a pointless pop culture reference.
  16. It had really bad crossover episodes with The Thundermans,Game Shakers,Knight Squad, and even Ryan's Mystery Playdate, which are all bad enough by themselves.
  17. The show has bad morals, such as:
    • Bullying
    • Violence
    • Lying
    • Breaking the rules
    • Framing/slandering people
    • Victimizing yourself
    • Committing crimes
    • Cheating
    • Not being yourself
    • Starting drama
    • Being a phone addict
    • Acting like a jerk
    • Not learning from your mistakes
    • Misbehaving at school
    • Defiance
    • Doing whatever you want
    • Being stubborn
    • Not listening
    • Not using common sense
    • Having a bad attitude
  18. Many characters don't learn from their mistakes, don't right their wrongdoings, apologize, or get punishment. An example is in "Invisible Brad," where Jasper and Piper make a deal to split the money Piper makes from selling her playhouse if Jasper helps fix it up, but at the end, Piper tricks Jasper into believing she doesn't want to sell it, sells it and keeps all of the money.
  19. Episodes like "Captain Jerk" and "The Bucket Trap" (episodes about keeping Henry's secret from Piper and Jasper) are completely alienated and pointless in the later seasons now that the two find out about his secret.

Good Qualities

  1. Despite being ridiculous, some villains are decent and even cool like Drex, The Toddler, Rick Twitler, and Dr. Minyak.
  2. Schwoz Schwartz, Henry Hart, Jasper Dunlop and Charlotte Page are likeable characters in their own ways.
    • Plus, Charlotte can be seen as pretty tolerable.
    • Even if Gooch is just an average forgotten character, he can be seen as tolerable. (Depending on your view)
  3. Some good episodes:
    • The final three episodes, “The Beginning of the End", "Captain Drex", and "The Fate of Danger ," were very amazing and heart-warming send-offs for the series.
    • "Hour of Power" was great and Henry now has a superpower that could make his reflexes very fast.
      • Unfortunately, he loses it in "A New Hero" and stays powerless for the rest of the series.
    • There was also Henry and the Woodpeckers which was a decent episode.
  4. The remaining two seasons of the show were a big improvement as they feature less filler and focus more on a continuing plot than the earlier seasons.
    • Speaking of improvement, Season 3 is slightly more tolerable than the first two seasons, but still has bad episodes Mouth Candy and Danger & Thunder and many flaws are still there.
    • Piper slowly starts to mature as the series goes on.
  5. The theme song is pretty good and catchy.
  6. There can be some good jokes, like a running gag where anytime Piper tries to watch the commercial she was in for the Fred Lobster restaurant (parody of Red Lobster) on TV, it's not how she either expected it or almost never gets a chance for anyone else to see the commercial because it's always being interrupted by something else.
  7. While most of the acting is lousy, a few of the actors give off a decent performance.

Reception

Henry Danger was met with mixed-to-negative reviews from critics and audiences alike. However, Seasons 4 and 5 were met with more positive reception, Some fans consider this show a really good series. The show currently holds a 5.8/10 on IMDb.
